Tampa, Florida-- The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce proudly announces that our fifth annual Freedom Fest celebration will be held on State Street in Oldsmar Memorial Day weekend- May 24, 25 and 26.

Freedom Fest is presented to honor our first responders – police, fire, fire rescue and our active and retired military. There will be a special motorcycle show on Saturday honoring bikes in each of these categories.

Mail carriers collect food for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

"Heart of a Champion" scholarship to help 66 Hillsborough seniors

Hillsborough County, Florida-- An upcoming, exciting event will honor some of Hillsborough County's high school senior athletes, and award them with scholarships for displaying hard work, determination and true spirit.

The "Heart of a Champion" scholarship will go to one male, and one female student athlete from 33 Hillsborough County schools who have demonstrated what “heart” is all about, event organizers explained Wednesday.

Town 'N Country, Florida - The Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend their Annual Installation and Awards Banquet scheduled for next month.

The event is sure to leave locals feeling proud of their community, as organizers say they'll recognize citizens and volunteers for community service, award scholarships to several hardworking high school students, and introduce their incoming members.

Tampa Yankees Pink Out Night Saturday, May 4

The Tampa Yankees and The Container Store will team up in the fight against Breast Cancer as they host "Pink Out Night" on Saturday, May 4th, at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Gates open at 5:00pm, and the Tampa Yankees will take on the Clearwater Threshers at 6:00pm. There will be pre-game activities for all fans and a post game fireworks show sponsored by Bright House Networks.

Carrollwood, Florida -- The Fresh Market is proud to become a national partner of Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign beginning this spring.

Through the sale of a special reusable shopping bag designed by children during the company's inaugural "Design Our Bag Challenge," along with a spring in-store promotion at its 131 stores nationwide, The Fresh Market will raise funds and awareness for No Kid Hungry starting this May.
