Carrollwood BB&T Bank robbery suspect caught

Carrollwood, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say they have caught the man wanted in the robbery of a Carrollwood BB&T Bank Friday afternoon.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say the were able to link 43-year-old Jeffery Bilger to the crime with forensic evidence. He was arrested without incident and is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on $100,000 bond.

MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater warns underage drinkers

Tampa, Florida-- Despite its multiple name changes, one of Tampa's main concert and event venues has a clear stance on at least one thing- a "zero tolerance" policy for underage drinking on the premises. 

The newly named MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater- first known as the "Ford Amphitheater" before becoming "1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater", and then briefly the "Live Nation Amphitheater"- has joined forces with local law enforcement and the Florida State Fair Authority. Together, they are warning anyone underage that they will strictly enforce drinking laws. 

Man snatches purse from school bus driver

Tampa, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who stole a bus driver's purse and then fled on a bicycle.

Deputies say on May 20, the man walked onto a Hillsborough County Public Schools' school bus in the 5900 block of Yorkshire Drive and stole the bus driver's purse. He then sped away on a dark-colored mountain bike.

Man sentenced to 12 years on child porn charges

Tampa, Florida -- A Tampa man was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison by a U.S. district judge Monday on child porn charges.

According to court documents, between May and December 2012, 58-year-old Paul Carlin used a peer-to-peer file sharing program to distribute at least 17 files depicting child pornography to undercover FBI agents.

Gun malfunctions 3 times as man attacks estranged wife

Tampa, Florida -- A woman escaped with her life early Sunday morning after deputies say an attack from her estranged husband didn't go quite as planned.

Katherinez Villanueva, 23, told Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies she heard strange noises outside her front door around 1:27 a.m. Sunday. When she peeked out the window, she saw Julio Villanueva-Vasquez crouched down using some sort of tool to pry open her door.

Abortion pill victim says she fears for her own life

Tampa, Florida -- The woman whose boyfriend is accused of murdering their unborn child by secretly giving her abortion pills, says she's afraid for her own life too.

Remee Jo Lee, 26, says if John Andrew Welden gets out of jail she's afraid he'll come after her.

The revelation is part of the testimony given by Lee at a restraining order hearing last month.

She loves him, but she hates him. She fears him, but still wonders what life might have been like for them with their baby.

Man accused of tricking girlfriend to take abortion pill

Tampa, Florida -- A 28-year-old man could face the rest of his life behind bars after he allegedly switched his girlfriend's antibiotic with an abortion pill he fraudulently obtained.
