$1000 reward to anyone with info on hit-and-run driver | Crime

Tampa, Florida-- Two people are in critical condition tonight and detectives currently search for the driver responsible for hitting their Jeep and leaving the scene.

According to officials, it was approximately 5 a.m. today when a light colored pickup struck the rear of a Jeep Cherokee near the 3200 block of West Hillsborough Avenue. The Jeep lost control, left the roadway and hit a building. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene following the crash.

Both occupants of the Jeep, 19-year-old Curbelo-Izquierdo and 18-year-old Yuda, are in critical condition at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Law enforcement is working to identify the driver of the truck. They say the truck has a black bug deflector that was broken in the crash, and may also have cracks on the right front headlight. There may also be blue transfer paint on the truck from the Jeep.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may know the identity of the driver ,is asked to call Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers to be eligible for $1,000 reward.
