Court: White not responsible for sexual harassment legal fees | News

Tampa, Florida -- Good news for former Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin White. Even though White is serving a sentence in an Atlanta Federal Prison on bribery charges, he won a major victory in federal court related to a previous sexual harassment suit.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a decision saying because White was a Hillsborough County employee, the county's insurance policy should have paid his legal fees when he was sued by his former aide Alyssa Ogden for sexual harassment.

This leaves White an open door to sue the insurance company for damages. White will spend three years in prison.
