Red Carpet Event at Carrollwood Cultural Center

Carrollwood -- Enjoy an evening filled with award-winning music with the Carrollwood Cultural Center's own Community Chorus and Broadway-bound kids on Saturday, May 5!

The evening, which begins at 7 p.m., will be filled with music from musicals to the silver screen. Attendees can walk the red carpet, watch for the paparazzi and mingle with the center's stars!

Photographer Marcia Treiger will capture all of the glamour with her cameraso be sure to dress up because there's room for everyone on the Best Dressed List!

Tampa, FL -- Luxe Fashion Group and Vocess Magazine presented the 1st annual Cars & Couture event in Tampa Bay hosted at the International Jet Center on Oct. 14.

The event benefiting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) featured exotic cars, boats, photos ops, charity presentation, silent auction, jet display, vendors, cocktails, couture fashion show, wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres tasting provided by Casanova.

Are you a fashionista searching for a job? Well guess what, I found a couple places for you to apply!

If you didn't know around the Holiday season is when most retail companies look to hire a large amount of seasonal employees. Most often they keep some of their seasonal employees based on store needs and performance.

So, whether you are looking for a permanent or just a temporary job to get through the upcoming Holiday season, now is the time to apply. Employers like to start hiring now so all employees can be trained and ready to go by the time Black Friday arrives. So what are you waiting for? Head out there and apply!

Fi.R Cosmetics

Stephanie "FiFi" Rodriguez is a local upcoming entreprenuer. FiFi is a nail tech, esthetician and makeup artist this lady does it all!

Recently, Fifi decided to go for one of her life-long dreams which is to start her own cosmetics line. Her line is named "FiR" which is not only short for FIERCE but also her initials for Fifi Rodriguez, very clever don't you think?

The line still in its infancy stages, currently consists of eyeshadow pigments. I personally own 4 of them: Blood Diamonds (red), Sage (green), Cotton Candy (light blue), and Midnight Sparkle (dark blue with sparkles). These pigments are very pigmented and Fifi told me she created the line with makeup artists in mind. If these colors are too bold for you she also recently added more neutral earthy colors with hues of golds and browns.

The Show: Fashion Week Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay was on fire Friday night as the highly anticipated fashion show finally happened. I have been going to this event all 4 years and I must say this was by far the best show.

From the location, vendors, and even the runway setup. It was a very sophisticated and chic event and well worth the wait to see. Some of the vendors featured were Stella and Dot, Vertical magazine, Tampa Bay Times and much more.

I personally was intrigued by 2 tables. Of course the table with the AMAZING shoes which was Ivanka Ska. The craftsmanship on her shoe designs are amazing.

Also, the other table that caught my interest was the Yelp table. The young ladies explained to me that the website is to promote small businesses. Basically you search what you are looking for and it will search the database and you can then see reviews from customers. I thought that was great for our community.
